Some high-end models even feature AI capabilities such as facial recognition payment, product visual recognition, and customer flow heat map analysis. Based on form factor, they can be divided into four main categories: desktop smart POS machines, handheld smart POS terminals, self-service POS machines, and unmanned POS cabinets. Based on operating system, they are divided into Android and Windows camps. The Android camp, due to its strong openness and rich application ecosystem, already held approximately 75% of the domestic market share in 2026.
